Something I didn't think about: the "new" browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Safari may limit your enjoyment of on-line shopping this holiday season. From an article on Marketwatch.com:
The article goes on to say that these "new" browsers account for over 30% of all web traffic (On this site, Firefox accounts for roughly 56%, alone. Non-IE browsers total 63% of the browsers). There are more interesting observations in the article, but the one thing that stands out, for me, is that "standard browser" is an oxymoron.

The 2008 web browser explosion could not have come at a worse time: the most important online holiday shopping season ever. As a result, some online shoppers will be faced with website pages that load slowly, are missing text or graphics, or even fail to complete the checkout function.
"This year more than ever, websites can look and function differently from one browser to another," says Matt Poepsel, vice president of Gomez, Inc., whose services test and monitor the performance of websites. "Online retailers can no longer assume that all shoppers are using Internet Explorer. They must ensure their sites look good and work well across a wide range of browsers - or risk frustrating customers and losing the sale."

You just can't win... can't shop with "new browsers", can't view .some. folks blogs properly in "old browsers" like IE.
