Mastering XPages has been released today by IBM Press, as followers of Twitter or anyone who pre-ordered the book from IBM Press. Amazon will be shipping shortly.

I had the honour or being one of the technical editors of the book and it is well worth investing in, whether you bought the first edition or not. There is a vast amount of new material (1168 pages compared to 784) including a number of additional examples for real-life applications like managing document locking in XPages. Not surprisingly, the book also takes advantage of the vast amount of work Tony McGuckin has done on performance tuning of XPages applications. The content takes into account updates right through to 9.0.1, so I would recommend any developer looking to use the examples to install Domino Designer 9.0.1 (and Fix Pack 1 came out last week). If your servers are at an earlier release, remember that you can define the XPages server version to compile against in the Xsp Properties of an application.

This book is without doubt a must for any XPages developer.
