Developers, developers, developers
by Volker Weber
Excellent Apple keynote. Developers will be delighted, analysts disappointed, and gadget bloggers devastated. #wwdc

Will the gadgets bloggers ever learn and stop confusing fan fiction with predictions?

Nice, indeed.
I see it as a positive sign, that WP gains from iOS and vice versa.
"Young developers, young developers, young developers" - Apple realizes it's now about engaging the "next generation" of developers to continue building great apps. It's not by chance that Tim Cook explicitly welcomed the winners of the Student Scholarship at the beginning of the keynote. Swift is Apple waving at them.
I could not help but notice they looked different from Notes developers. ;-)
The average age here at WWDC is around 15 years younger than at Connect.
Makes me smile... a bit. Just last week I had a conversation with my customer about app development with iOS, Android and Win8. Pretty funny.... I got complaints why Microsoft offers such a breadth of programming languages in .NET. First time ever I got complaints for breadth of choice - times are achangin'...
Even more funny, they "complained" why we did not adopt Objective C or Java like in Android platforms ;). Well, now we got a new programming language and everything is super cool, awesome, exciting.
Microsoft is still bad in marketing - while we have Microsoft Siena for a couple of months, nobody really notices it...
