Why Did They Remove Lite Mode from IBM iNotes 9?

Many were surprised to find out that IBM removed iNotes Lite as a menu option in IBM iNotes 9. Tracking down what changed took a bit. here is what I found.
I found an IBM document explaining what features were reaching parity between Lite and Full and why they retired it. Once you upgrade all URLs redirect and even adding the Lite Mode to a URL will still go to Full Mode. It just is not there to use
