This is not a test :: real world battery usage

BlackBerry Passport went off the charger Monday at 6:41 and has been in the hand of a real user. Now it's Wednesday night 21:30 and the battery holds 30%. Technically it would survive another day. But we are recharging just in case. The steep fall on Tuesday evening was a reboot loop caused by a hanging power button.

For comparison, mine also went back on the charger after three days (minus one night):

Is this with LTE enabled? Battery on BlackBerry Q10 is okay if I disable LTE, but if I leave LTE enabled it seldom lasts till next day.

Yes. Testing to change the network is expensive. Do you have good LTE coverage and a contract with LTE enabled?

Volker Weber, 2014-10-04

My phone only allows me to select 4G network (LTE is not mentioned). 4G signal here in Hong Kong is strong most of the time. On Q10 I do see 4G symbol next to the signal so I guess it is covered by the contract. With 4G enabled, phone gets hot and battery gets depleted quickly so I have it disabled. How long your Q10 last on LTE for you?

About two days and one night. Go into settings and application manager. It will show you which part of the system depletes the battery. It's quite obvious though that LTE switch makes the difference.

It is only System there that consumes between 15% and 20% of the CPU, the rest is idle.

An hour ago I enabled 4G network and I monitored the signal on the way home. On a 40min long drive, 4G signal never dropped below three lines out of five. Most of the time I had four lines, so it is not the signal. Phone was warm all the time until I disabled 4G.

I am truly impressed of Passport battery performance on LTE.
