Lenovo’s Promise for a Cleaner, Safer PC
by Volker Weber
Lenovo wants to add less crapware to PCs and offers to to add some more:
we will offer Lenovo PC users affected by this issue a free 6-month subscription to McAfee LiveSafe service (or a 6-month extension for existing subscribers). ... And we will continuously solicit feedback from our user community and industry experts to ensure we have the right applications and best user experience.
Microsoft provides a clean Windows install. Don't add anything. That would be great.

That's how all the machines are sold from the Microsoft store. But very excited to hear Lenovo is heading in this direction. More choice is good for everyone.
Adding McAfee is just replacing one malware with another. The software is almost impossible to remove and a pain in the backside. Not sure that is going to make up for their previous error in judgement.
It's no secret why vendors bundle software. I wonder how many people are willing to pay a few dollars/Euros more in order to get less.
It's no secret. To us.
If Android, then Nexus - If Windows, then Signature?
Sort of. But the difference isn't as striking.
