Don't have a dog? Get Pokémon Go.
by Volker Weber
A dog is a good walking coach. But Pokémon Go may be even better. Install (Android, iOS), put a powerbank in your pocket, and start walking. Two hours later you will have depleted your battery at least once, walked 10 km and more, and raised your level. I went to the university campus and I spotted dozens of students playing the game. In groups, talking to old farts like me.
People getting out and interacting with each other. That's probably the best thing that could have happened in the USA right now.

You summed it up perfectly :)
Sad world we are living in if that app was really needed to have these effects...
My motto: everything is motivates you to get moving is fair game.

Great world to see my 17 year old boy walking 10 km by free will, wonderworld.
Hi Volker, compared to INGRESS, also by former Google owned company Niantic, PoGo is just an lollypop multicolored and feature reduced version for it. It lacks the strategic elements of Ingress and which is by far worse the teamplay and the strong community. Try Ingress instead of PoGo. Walk thousands of kilometers, find new friends of Pokemon players +10 and more and understand why Ingress players are absolutely annoyed and disappointed because of the disturbances the PoGo brings to their game...
Sorry for the many typing failures in my previous text. Hate this "Mäuseklavier"
Don't be jealous. Ingress is for geeks. Pokémon is for everybody.
A "game" I prefer is GeoCaching. It takes you out, too, and in addition there is a lot to learn about the area around you. Have a look at geocaching.com and you will be surprised.
Nettes Game, Ne Runde Golf tuts bei mir allerdings auch. totally offline,no beeps, Rings and Other fancy stuff, only nature (and Fore's sometimes).
