I am getting better at this #WaaH
by Volker Weber
Windows Update was stuck at 95 percent. But I am getting better at this. This time it only took two hours to solve. Next time I will be down to 30 minutes. #WaaH #WindowsAsAHobby
Note to self about what happened:
- Automatic installation fails and is stuck at 95%.
- Download update and try manual install. Also fails.
- Reboot, net stop wuauserv, delete everything from c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Sfc /ScanNow
- Reboot, manual install from download in step 2 succeeds.
- Reboot, automatic install launches and finds the update complete.

Hmm. Ich hatte null Probleme. Woran sowas wohl immer liegt.
15 minutes download & Install on my Lenovo T460s.
As it should. The problem is that once it gets stuck, you have to fix it. It does not fix itself.
it does that on purpose to you :D
Love Windows 10, but can't believe this is still happening
Had a similar problem updating the laptops for my inlaws to build 14393 (10v1607), did not know this might solve it, thanks for the report!
Fixed it by using the Media Creation Tool to load a USB-stick and ran setup from that. Still had to unplug the USB printer from one of the laptops to allow installation to finish, and had to reboot that laptop too. Previously, that would prompt the installer to revert, but the combination of a separate setup and the unplugged printer allowed setup to finish.
On my home computer, I also loaded 1607 much later that the issu date,
