| Description |
The PC Census Manager gives Admins the ability to get PC inventory without installing software. |
During our years of experience with Lotus Notes / Domino, one common need that all of our clients have faced is to positively determine status of their PC Assets. Every organization has had to expend a great deal of time, energy, and resources to determine the location and state of their PC’s in terms of hardware configurations, software deployment, licenses, updates, unauthorized software packages, and projected retirement and/or replacement of assets.
The time and fiscal resources required to manage PC’s and laptops in an organization is significant. In addition, these assets are critical to the ongoing success of the organization, and it is imperative that they are performing correctly, have the current versions of software installed, are properly licensed, and that critical software such as anti-virus software or OS patches are up to date.
To address this pressing need, ATS has developed and implemented an easy to deploy, cost-effective solution to aid in the determination of an organizations PC assets. Our solution does not require any downloads to the client machine, no software to install, no polling cycles are required, and works regardless of location.
The PC Census Manager package is a Lotus Notes / Domino based product that is controlled by the System Administrators. It will transparently gather the pertinent information from a users PC and return the data to a central Notes database for analysis and display in appropriate views.
The white paper below presents the benefits of a Notes based computer asset tracking and monitoring system. It will demonstrate the value and success of our product, by providing specific examples of how it is deployed, and the information that it returns, without user intervention. |
