I miss these people

If IBM hadn't dropped the ball we'd be meeting next week in sunny Florida.

By “dropped the ball” I read “dropped the ball, punctured it with a samurai sword, cut it into small pieces, put in a shredder, set fire to the remains and then emptied the ashes in the ocean”.
I am not thinking of the ball but the people.
The Developer: Can I?
And the admin say: NO.
Miss them too
Some good people are trying pretty hard to put the ball back together. They're going to have a hard time succeeding but if I can help, I will.
I have been to many dev conferences around the world (Microsoft, WWDC etc) but the four times I went to Lotusphere were indeed special. It is all about the people you meet.
Made me smile :-)
Well that brings me back.
I know glasses get rose tinted with time, but i really miss that world. I really didn’t know how good it was until it was gone.
God I miss that. I miss the extended family.
Good, honest-to-goodness world-changing positive can-do attitudes, with healthy respect for each other, and a desire to have fun.
Happy days indeed.

Really miss us? We're all meeting up in Belfast in Feb Volker. See Mr Mooney for details!
So glad I had the chance to shoot that, and to find it again and post it. :)
That was so much fun. What nerds. Somebody said Dublin?
Hi Ed Brill :-)
No, somebody said Belfast. That's in Northern Ireland, where the Titanic was built. Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland, where Guinness is made and where you pay in EUR instead of GBP.
I miss you too. I still have that shirt, but not that hair.
Trust me. Hair is overrated. I had less hair when I was 25 than you have today. Actually, I still have a lot of hair. It just migrated to inconvenient places. TMI, I know.
You gained three humans. You win.
Ah - Belfast - where the Mooneys and McDonaghs live! Checking ticket prices.
