Links and what they all mean
by Volker Weber
There are a couple of links under each post. Here is what they do:
- The date links to the individual page, just like the headline does.
- email creates a new email and populates the subject and body of that new mail. Just add an addressee and you are good to go.
- twitter creates a new Twitter post with title and link
- facebook creates a new Facebook post with title and link
- google+ creates a new Google+ post with title and link
None of those links contains any active elements from Twitter, Facebook or Google. Only if you click them, you will be sent to their respective sites. Nothing is spying on you, nothing is tracking you. And that is why I am keeping them. They cost next to nothing and they may be useful.
No, I don't use Facebook. I no longer use Google+. That does not mean I need you to stop using them.
Does it bother you to see the Facebook link?
Comments
It certainly doesn't bother me. You do you. I'll do what works for me. It is good to support all of the choices so that others can do what works for them.
Certainly doesn't bother me either. I only look for the more or the comments link (if the are any).
Smart, well done, and well explained!
Hast du Analytics Daten, ob die wirklich nützlich sind? Steile These: Da hat jeweils noch nie jemand drauf geklickt. :) Copy&Paste der URL oder Sharing Menüs in Browsern könne das was sie Links tun sollten besser.
Thank you, Chris.
Daniel, ja, das ist nützlich.
My ad blocker ‘1 Blocker X’ strips these links out automatically.
@Markus - so does mine - and I'd never even noticed until you pointed that out!
