In this article, I explain how to use some of OneDrive's most important features. Even if you're an old hand with OneDrive, you might be surprised, because several of the features I describe here are new in 2018.
Excellent article. It's missing just one piece of information. If you share a folder without write permissions, the recipient cannot integrate it into their OneDrive. If you receive a share with write permissions, you can hit the "Add to my OneDrive" option and it will appear to be your own.
If you use OneDrive on iOS to auto upload your photos, you will have to open the app once in a while just to trigger the upload. Or, as I just learned from Franjit, you can set it to upload in the background.

To set your device to upload pictures even when the OneDrive app isn't the active app, enable "Upload in Background".
Works fine with me one IOS.
That very feature (upload in background) did not work reliable in past OD versions - that was one of the reasons I moved away from it. Besides, I do not have an O365 subscription with TB space for free ...

little downside: live pictures become regular images, all HEIF/HEVC become JPG/MOV.
Unfortunately OneDrive for Business does not allow you to upload your images automatically to the cloud. Especially this would be handy, when combined with Android Work profile.
You can always count on Peter to find a limitation. :-)
As long as there is no way to exclude/include folders from the photos tab, OneDrive mobile is unusable. Who wants to have *Photos* view cluttered with book covers from Calibre or graphics from web site projects? This option is available in the web version, but the devs for the mobile version just don’t get it.
On iOS Spotlight search like iCloud & Google Drive support for ages is also missing.
Samuel, go to Settings/Advanced Settings and disable the upload in most compatible format. If you do that it will upload the originals, but then you will have duplicates. If you can handle that, make the switch.
