Microsoft tries to one-up Apple

by Volker Weber

I think they are failing. This is last year's Apple Ad, which has since been removed from YT:

Microsoft has a point though. While iPad has Swift Playgrounds, when you really want to get into coding, you need to buy a PC class machine. The iPad won't even run VB macros in Excel. Not because Microsoft is lazy, but because Apple won't allow an app to alter its function with code that did not go through the review process.

Comments

Da muss man gar nicht soweit gehen wie VBScript. Da reicht es schon, einfache Zahlenfolgen als Grafik darstellen zu wollen, und die iOS App von Excel kann nicht mehr mithalten.

Is this girl really interested in programming or Excel? My daughter (14) clearly prefers her iPad Pro with Pencil and keyboard over every notebook for everyday tasks incl. homework in Word and drawing in ProCreate.
