Something weird is happening at vowe's magic flying circus

There hasn't been a year since I first deployed my first two Sonos players that I wore headphones as much as I did in 2018. I have reduced my Sonos setup from 8 zones to 5 and I am ready to go to 4 and possibly 3.

There is of course a reason behind that. I am jumping from Apple Music to Apple Podcasts, to YouTube, to Netflix. And I am doing this mostly on iPhone and iPad Pro. The sound comes either out of the device itself -- the iPad Pro is really good -- or the headphones.

Yesterday I removed myself from a Sonos beta, for the first time ever. We are not moving in the same direction and I have nobody I could talk to about this.

Speaking of headphones, the Beats Studio³ have been my favorite sound gear ever since I got them. And boy, would I be interested in the Surface Headphones, if they ever make it to Germany.

Peak Sonos? Definitely not a good sign for them if this is happening at vowe's, of all places.

Geduld... nicht mehr lange...

I would appreciate if there was small Apple Bluetooth dongle, that I could plug in and that would allow me to connect non-Apple devices (in particular my work laptop) with my Apple headphones. I would think that should be feasible for Apple to build, maybe even for third parties. It would make my life a bit easier... Whether the dongle uses USB or the 3.5mm plug, I don‘t really care, but for (likely barely noticeable) digital audio quality USB may have advantages.
