Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s chief executive, plans to integrate the social network’s messaging services – WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger … The services will continue to operate as stand-alone apps, but their underlying technical infrastructure will be unified … That will bring together three of the world’s largest messaging networks, which between them have more than 2.6 billion users, allowing people to communicate across the platforms for the first time. … The plan – which is in the early stages, with a goal of completion by the end of this year or early 2020 – requires thousands of Facebook employees to reconfigure how WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger function at their most basic levels …

Etwa 1 Milliarde in 2016. iOS, macOS, watchOS und TV. iOS stellt den Löwenanteil.
Eine Freundin von mir war gestern in einem Mediamarkt, um ein Fotostativ zu kaufen. Zufällig hat sie auf das Namensschild des Verkäufers geschaut. Zwei Stunden später wurde ihr der Verkäufer als neuer Facebook-Freund angeboten. Notebene hat sie keinerlei, auch nicht indirekte Verbindungen zu dem Verkäufer, und die Ware wurde cash und ohne Kundenkarten etc. gezahlt. Und sie kann sich nicht erinnern, wie der Verkäufer ihren Namen herausfinden könnte. Was geht da vor?
Ich würde sagen, der Verkäufer ist SEHR aufmerksam. Ich bin auch gut im Recherchieren von Sachen, die mir niemand gesagt hat.
Immerhin:
„Mr. Zuckerberg has ... vowed to fix them.“
