Apple releases first public betas
by Volker Weber
I am not going to endanger my iPhone, but I am pretty pumped about iPadOS. If all else fails, I can just switch to a different machine.

Catalina DP2 (one week ago) is slightly less stable than System 7 running a collection of the worst-behaved Desk Accessories (assuming one can get the installer to work, which is far from a given).
There has, so far, been no updated developer preview release - extreme caution advised when trying today's Catalina release.
Thanks for the heads up, David.
@David: Zap the PRAM, rebuild the Desktop database and try again after removing the ZIP drive from external SCSI port.
@Martin: Doh!!! It's a missing SCSI terminator!
I know what I'll be doing tonight (iPad OS only - probably...)
I think iPad is public beta bricked my 10,5 iPad. I will post updates. But right now it seems to be caught in a boot loop. :)
*I think I bricked my iPad with the public beta. No clue why the sentence above turned out the way it did. :)
You should be able to restore the iPad from the PC with a restore image.
Yes. I figured that. I will do that as soon as I am back home.
@Dave: "Tourist!"
Not home yet. Expect feedback at around 9pm
Well, it is in recovery mode. I tried "update" first...lets see, what happens.
Widerherstellen auf 12.3.1 hat funktioniert. auf das saubere ios 12 hat dann auch die beta funktioniert.
iPad OS 13 on first gen iPad Pro 12.9": It just worked (tm)
"Another one bricked the (i)Pad"
Stimmt. Ich habe auch kaum was installiert, Ich musste ja alles löschen. :)
Also, auf dem 10,5er iPad startet ai writer. Weitere Tests habe ich nicht unternommen.
