- Diet: You cannot pay someone to be on a diet for you.
- Then, looking after your soul. No one can possibly treat your soul but you yourself.

Yes and no. As the saying goes, money doesn't buy happiness, but it helps.
Money helps you to be able to keep fit, giving you the time and if you want it the equipment.
Money helps you to buy good and healthy food, especially if you don't have to worry where your next meal is going to come from.
Money helps you to take care of your soul if you don't have to worry where your next rent, meal, clothes, hearing etc is going to come from.
It's a sad reality in these days that there are still people even in our rich societies who simply struggle to afford and on average die earlier than wealthy people.
If you have all the money in the world you still cannot buy fitness, diet and soul.
And money can't buy you time when your clock is ticking faster.
But if you haven't got money you at least struggle and many cases simply cannot afford fitness, good diet and nurturing your soul.
The problem goes both ways.

And you can buy a personal trainer for staying fit, a personal cook for your diet and a psychologist for your soul.
I think its more about finding the break even - or point of no return - where the money doesn't add any benefit to your life. At some point your time is getting too precious to spend it for more money.

Well, if you want to go down that rathole, fine, yes, I believe the quote is wrong. Someone on the internet is wrong.
Because I don't believe Brunello Cucinelli said you can't pay someone to be on a diet for you. He most likely said (not on the internet, but in various interviews) you can't pay someone to follow a healthy diet for you. Being on a diet and following a healthy diet are two different things.
And lead back to my original point: money helps to follow a healthy diet.
Also, I don't disagree with his underlying point that you need to do these things yourself and can't delegate them. But having money helps a lot to do these things. 1,000 books cost a lot of money.

It’s definitely easier to keep fit if you can afford a lot of leisure time to go running an hour every day and are not working two or three jobs to keep your family fed and still also want to be there for your kids.
It’s definitely easier to keep a healthy diet, if you are not relying on cheap often sugar and carbohydrate rich foods, maybe even pre-packaged/cooked, but can afford to buy a lot of vegetables and fruits. They are expensive, in the USA even more so than in Germany.
Its definitely easier to keep looking after your soul if you don‘t fall, crushed from the three jobs you work, in front of the TV in the evening, just to roll into bed and start the cycle again 4 o‘clock on the next morning.
Quotes like that are stated from a position of privilege. I am privileged (not Brunello-level though ^^). But I am conscious that many many others aren‘t. Money doesn‘t buy you those, but money allows you to take time for them while still taking care of your family.
We can use as many words as we like to elaborate on three simple statements.

I like this website. I come here every day. And I like simplicity. But it sometimes simply doesn’t cut it. It makes me uneasy to see that a civilized exchange of arguments is apparently not wanted.

Christian, simple always wins. "You shall not kill". How can you make that better by making it more complicated?
You have to keep fit.
You have to eat healthy.
You have to look after your soul.
Go ahead make that better by making it more complicated.

Interesting how many people here think you first have to make money before being able to take care for yourself.
Well, Lucius, feel free to explain how you can take care of yourself when you're working two full time jobs (but still have no health insurance) just to be able to provide your children with a roof over the head and some food while some food still has to come from a food bank.
This might not apply to any of its privileged people reading and commenting here, but there are plenty of people out there in that situation. Plenty of people who don't have the means (and often skills) to do all these things many take for granted.
Armin, you continue to ignore the original posting. It says you cannot buy these three things, which of course means that you have the money to buy anything else.
