Zero Fast
by Volker Weber
Humans should not be eating all the time. Now there is an app that will help you get started with intermittent fasting. Zero supports the daily 13:11, 16:8, 18:6, and 20:4 procols. At a minimum, you should not be eating for 13 hours each night, between dinner and breakfast. I am using the 18:6 protocol to keep my diabetes in remission. Once you have set your habits after 10 weeks or so, you won't need this app anymore.
If you don't need to track your performance, there is a simple hack. Add a Timer complication to your watchface and run it down.

I subscribe to the intermittent fasting discipline and find it very effective. I combine that with low carb/healthy fat eating and exercise.
I'm 47 and feel healthier than I did when I was in my thirties.
This may bring me back on track with intermittent fasting which i already begun in april this year but gave up bc of temporary sickness. Will try it. Thanks, Volker!
Me and my wife are doing 23:1 for years now when we are not on vacation without knowing it would be called intermittent fasting.
Just the most practical way for us that we somehow ended up with naturally. At least according to our nature.
Never did breakfast in my life and skipping lunch was a non issue.
Having support from an app as a starter seems really helpful! Thank you Volker for pointing to it - as I get asked frequently about my eating habits (colleagues wondering) I can now point them here.
If you track your calories with Yazio, the app has as similar feature implemented.
Just a remark: this tool requires a registration and login. Yazio does not. No watch app with yazio however.
Brings John Walkers (one of the founders of Autodesk) "Hackers Diet" to my mind.

Yes, it is really easy. Eat less than you burn. But that's not all. You also have to fast at least 13 hours a day, better more.
You know, I'm curious like that - why should one fast at least 13 hours? Where does this come from? Not that I wouldn't trust dieticians, but yeah, past has shown you can't always trust dieticians.
You want to drive down glucose levels as far as you can. It's related to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circadian_rhythm
