Being part of the BETA HCL Domino V11 program, i dared to fully upgrade my own server Domino 10.0.1FP3, to this beta build: V1100. I really believe in the energy and passion of HCL to deliver something good/better. Because this BETA comes with new features and enhancements, we had to test everything over and over.
I am pleased to announce that for the installation and manage part, it went smoothly. No big problems at all found here. ( small UX things were found ).
What new important features i have turned on?
– DAOS TIER2 with S3 based on Minio ( Docker ).
– Cluster Symmetry
Also installed Traveler BETA V11. Also this add-on installation was flawless. No problems found here.
The HCL Notes V11 ( even Dutch ) BETA 2 turned out to be the same as V9 / V10 but with a new CSS and new features in the mail template. No big changes over here. Some small hiccups in the local replication but those are already addressed and in GA solved.
Sofar: V11 is, like promised, totally rebranded to HCL. New logo, new colours, new look. The promised new UX has to wait to V12.
