Domino backup -- increase timeout for large databases

Daniel Nashed  9 May 2021 17:42:30

The time-out per database has been always 15 minutes.
For a large database the file copy operation could take longer.
We have been testing with larger physical databases and wondered where the timeout error came from when getting the change info for the database.

Specially for a large database the chance for non-zero change info is quite high.
If your backup application doesn't log those errors, your backup might be incomplete without the backup application lets you know.

So you should at least increase it to 60 minutes. With a transfer-rate of 60 MB/sec this should work for a 210 GB database.
Hopefully your backup is even faster for taking a backup of a large database...

notes.ini BACKUP_TIMEOUT=60
