Added a little css to the front page and reduced the impace of the blog roll

This lead to a huge, HUGE reduction in total size of html that needs to be downloaded to the content. I believe also, the front page table layout draws faster due to the css. I'd like to do more css but the little that is in there is good for now.

I ANYONE would like to take the current front page and re do it in css, presurving the current look and feel, please consider it. I will give you big props.
