The German company Bosch deploys IBM Connections for its 300,000 employees. Bosch is producing electric components for the automobile industry.
“With IBM Connections, IBM doesn’t just offer a powerful platform,” said Josef Maichle, vice president corporate information systems at Bosch to automotiveit.com. “Based on its experience in the area of social business, the company has also positioned itself as a trustworthy partner for the changeover.”
Selection criteria for Bosch were functional areas of coverage, intuitive operation and the possibility to introduce the new software without having to make major changes to existing systems, according to automotiveit.com.

I was a Pebble enthusiast. I even invested in two of them, one for myself and one for my son. And as a Kickstart supporter I was a fanboy. Yes, I say WAS.
I am not a Pebble fanboy anymore. And I will tell you why.
First – it is very unstable. Leave the iPhone in another room and they both loose their Bluetooth connection. Come back to the same room and you have to reset the connection manually. Nothing happens automatically.

IBM moves atoms in new video – WOW!
Thu, May 2nd 2013 7:19a Arne S. Nielsen Wow! IBM is now able to control the position of atoms! And to prove it they made a short film where atoms are shown moving around shaping figures. They do it by using a special microscope that enlarges the atoms 100 million times. The first microscope of this type was constructed by Gerd Binning and Heinrich Roher at IBM, Zürich in 1982. They got the Nobel Price in Physics four years later.
