The German company Bosch deploys IBM Connections for its 300,000 employees. Bosch is producing electric components for the automobile industry.
“With IBM Connections, IBM doesn’t just offer a powerful platform,” said Josef Maichle, vice president corporate information systems at Bosch to automotiveit.com. “Based on its experience in the area of social business, the company has also positioned itself as a trustworthy partner for the changeover.”
Selection criteria for Bosch were functional areas of coverage, intuitive operation and the possibility to introduce the new software without having to make major changes to existing systems, according to automotiveit.com.

Because email is a great way to send messages even if it’s not fast enough and efficient enough for todays need for speed in execution of our jobs.

My own method is to not open unread emails until my most important to-do’s are completed. So often I do not open new email until after lunch. New email make me unfocused and disturbs me when trying to work my way through my to-do list. So I want to keep them out of sight for a while.
