Arne Sigurd Rognan Nielsen

Video: What does IBM Verse look like on a mobile phone?
Thu, Dec 4th 2014 6:17a   Arne S. Nielsen
- Cloud and mobile first, says IBM when they are revealing their plans for their new way to work with email. And that is what it really is all about – working with email in a more modern and productive way. And for those of us who have made a deep dive into this new tool from Big Blue, it is really true: This will change everything we have thought of email earlier. And for those of us who are remote workers, always on the move and have our office between our ears and not on a physical spot [read] Keywords: ibm email facebook mobile office twitter

After 2068 blogpost I am celebrating my fifth year on WordPress!
Thu, Dec 4th 2014 6:17a   Arne S. Nielsen
This blog is celebrating it’s fifth year on WordPress. But before that I used a Lotus Quickr server under my desk, before I moved the blog to BlogSpot in the cloud. Then I found WordPress and we have been a steady couple since then. The blog has changed formats, languages, layouts and names during the years. In the beginning it was called “MyNotesBlog” and you will experience that the old url http://www.mynotesblog.com is still active and redirects you to “The Nielsen Chr [read] Keywords: lotus quickr blogging facebook server twitter

I am sure you have a lot of funny stories about your own and others “abuse” of email. Like sending a frustrated email to the wrong person or clicking the replay to all button. You may also have experienced sending confidential emails to a list of unknown email addresses? We have all done those blunders one in a while. That is why we want some new functionalities on our email systems. That is why we want a #NewWayToWork! Social Business is all about empowerment and engagement
Sun, Nov 23rd 2014 5:12a   Arne S. Nielsen
Social Business. Is it a buzzword only or is there some reality behind it? Some call it Social Business, some call it Open Business and some just call it Ordinary Business. Myself I tend to call it Engaged and Empowered Business because that is what it is all about – empowering employees and make them engaged. I am a strong believer in collaboration between people. You might lift a heavy stone by yourself, but it will take a lot of effort, energy and time to make it. Get help from a friend [read] Keywords: collaboration ibm facebook twitter

I was wrong: Email will not die, but like everything else it will change. Soon, very soon…
Wed, Oct 22nd 2014 9:15a   Arne S. Nielsen
For years I have been traveling around preaching on emails death. Now I have to admit I was wrong all the time. Because email is a great way to send messages even if it’s not fast enough and efficient enough for todays need for speed in execution of our jobs. Therefore email has to change. It has to become more than only an in/out box of messages. Millions of people misuse email for everything they need to communicate, even though picking up the phone is faster. And by using email the wron [read] Keywords: email facebook twitter
