Bug in designer client in combination with pass-thru server

I had a local agent that opened names.nsf on a server and then did a GetDocumentByKey in a view in names.nsf. Although I was sure that a document should be found, Notes did not find anything. When running the agent with the debugger turned on I found out that names.nsf was being opened on the wrong server, in this case on a server in a different domain. Human Readable Dates in XPages 8.5.1

Side Javascript library
posted by Matt White. In 8.5 it worked fine and returned the last modified
date in a human readable fashion.
I discovered that in 8.5.1 the code was broken and returned 'undefined'
instead of a text.
After some testing I found the solution.

New agent trigger in Domino 8.5
Mon, Oct 19th 2009 9:00a Almar Diehl Domino 8.5 has a new trigger for scheduled agents 'When the Domino server starts'. The trigger does exactly what is says: run the agent right after the Domino server starts.
I am currently using it to start an add-in that is not completely 8.5.1 compatible. When the add-in starts through the notes.ini or a program documents the router and smtp task stop functioning. Digital Image Gallery rebuild in Xpages

And with the shipping date within 20 days, I rebuild my Digital Image Gallery in Xpages.
It was quite easy, less coding.

Mail body empty in mail received from MS BPOS

Programatically removing a quota

It seemed rather straight forward to me, just using: db.SizeQuota = 0 db.SizeWarning = 0 However, db.SizeQuota = 0 generated an error "size limit exceeds quota"!!! More Java applets expiering on May 18, 2009

Show images in internet mail

After opening a message the user only sees red squares and has to click on 'show images' in order to retrieve/show the images. A user can configure (under Preferences, Mail, Internet) to always automatically show the images by unchecking the option However, some customers might just want to disable this setting for all users. Finally a solution for the Sametime logout issue

We always strip the number of templates down to the minimum set required, but that will still mean about 15 MB per user, which in a 2.000 user environment is a lot of data. Yet another version of the UnreadColor tool
Sun, Feb 15th 2009 3:55a Almar Diehl I have now posted a version of the tool that no longer deletes the file platform.xml at the end and therefore takes away the risk of trashing your Notes configuration. After running the tool and selecting your color, just start Notes, go to Preferences, Windows and Themes, select a different theme and click on Apply. With this tool you can estimate how much diskspace you could save by upgrading your server to Domino 8.5 and enabling DAOS. Mon, Jan 26th 2009 12:53p Almar Diehl I just re-opened the PMR concerning the unexepected logouts in Sametime 8.0.2 (see link) that IBM had closed after I implemented the work-around using VPS_BYPASS_SINGLE_MACHINE_LOGIN=1. The work-around just causes too much trouble, especially for our BlackBerry users. Also, from the Sametime Forum I can tell that I am not the only one with this issue and I really think IBM should solve this since it is rather obvious that they changed 'something' in 8.0.2. Fri, Jan 16th 2009 8:52a Almar Diehl I had planned to install Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5 this weekend but since I had some time left this afternoon I decided to already start the installation. Got a brand new W2K3 server on our ESX server, installed Domino 8.5, installed HF1 for Domino, fired up the server, configured it, shutdown, installed Traveler, start the server.... DONE!! It now turns out that adding this entry has a rather nasty side-effect..... If a user is logged in to Sametime from is BlackBerry and later signs in to Sametime using the Connect client or Notes integrated client from his/her PC the session on the BlackBerry is not logged out (obviously!). Sametime server 8.0.2 and unexpected logouts

Since that day when a user was logged in to Sametime using either the standalone Sametime Connect client or the Notes integrated Sametime client and would subsequently log in to iNotes or Quickr he/she was logged out of the Sametime client. Awareness worked just fine in iNotes and Quickr but is was just very inconvenient having to re-login to Sametime after shutting down iNotes or Quickr. Notes 8.5 and IM status in Connections Profiles
Sun, Jan 11th 2009 10:53a Almar Diehl When you are running Notes 8.5 and are using the integrated Sametime client, by default you will not see any IM status within Connections Profiles. In order to be able to see the IM status in Connections Profiles you have to modify the file plugin_customization.xml (in the directory [notesprogram]\framework cp).
