A great article article from IBM's Bob Sutor on how to choose the right enterprise mobile platform:
"While IBM isn’t known for its mobile offerings, Big Blue has been quietly but steadily investing in this space for more than a decade, both organically, through acquisitions and key technology partners. For instance, IBM closed its acquisition of Worklight in February 2012. Worklight delivers mobile applicationmanagement capabilities to clients across a wide range of industries, including retail, financial services, technology, travel and hospitality, and manufacturing. Their software enables organizations to efficiently create and run HTML5, hybrid and native applications for smartphones and tablets with industry-standard technologies and tools. Now, Worklight has been integrated into IBM's WebSphere Software business. Bob Sutor, vice president of the IBM Mobile Platform, has kept eWEEK abreast of IBM’s moves in the mobile space dating back to the early days of its Lotus acquisition and beyond. Based on this experience, Sutor and IBM helped eWEEK craft a top 10 list of considerations IT leaders must be aware of when choosing the right mobile application platform to address the unique needs of their organization."
