Social Business in the cloud: New website now live by Hilary Kerner, IBM SmartCloud for Social Business
In January, we told you that LotusLive would be joining the IBM SmartCloud family. Today, it's official! What does this mean, exactly? Well, this move has always been about more than a name change- as part of the SmartCloud SaaS portfolio, our Social Business offerings are easier to find, access and use.
Take our new webfront, for example, which is now live at our new URL, ibmcloud.com/social. We've streamlined our page content, making it easier to find the information you're looking for. It's easier to navigate, with headings to take you to the exact capabilities you need. The product pages now give you a look at the user interface you can expect, which gives you a better idea of what the offering will look like in action. And simplified information about our services should help make it easier to figure out what will work best for your business.
It's also important to understand what's not changing- the services themselves remain the same, with some minor name changes, and they'll be available as usual throughout the transition. The log-in process is also the same- you can log into the service or join a meeting in the upper right hand corner of the webfront. And LotusLive.com will remain just as it is for the next 30 days, to give you time to update any bookmarks. (In early April, all LotusLive.com URLs will automatically redirect to ibmcloud.com/social).
We encourage you to take a look around the site and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Our Social Media presence has moved, too.

Are you reluctant to start Tweeting? Getting involved in social networks like Twitter for business use hasn’t been natural for me. In a business environment, I tend to spend a lot of time listening and learning at first . Then, when I feel confident in my understanding, I begin voicing my opinions.
