Topics (if there is a topic you’d like to discuss, add it here!)
A. Most people get social can be fun, but can social help a company? Just a new place to reach people Let people engage with a connect to your business with a different tool Be part of the conversation about your brand
B. Do you have examples (self or client) of how new social tools had a business application? Lead generation, customer service? (Adrienne) Blog Talk Radio as a platform for business and individuals to promote a message and establish a brand. And the importance of going the extra mile with editing, formatting, etc to look & sound professional.
C. The podcast uses Google docs for the outline/prep document. Why Google docs? It’s all about the use case - if you don’t need it to be secure and you have an offline backup, great for collaborating Good/bad? Is it ok that it requires a Google email account? I switched to an Android and had to give them a gmail address to set up - annoying. Great Posting from Darren on iPhone and Android for a BlackBerry user

Angela - Last year, I worked with Alabama State Representative Dr. Thad McClammy, in a water drive campaign for Haiti. This was a grassroots effort that resulted in 1 million bottles of water that were donated to Haiti after the January 2010 earthquake. Food for the Poor, which feeds over 2 million people/day throughout Latin America and the Caribbean stepped in and transported and delivered the water. We are now in the process of sharing the success of this phenomenal grassroots effort that was initiated by three women and had an impact not only in Alabama, but across the country as others join in their efforts to help (Laura Pincus Hartman, Randall Robinson), which finally impacted another country. Were getting the word out about what these three women did out of the compelling compassion, empathy and conviction that they felt for other human beings. This is really a story about the human spirit and a “yes we can” generation. The women will be interviewed by WSFA-12 Montgomery and will also be featured on an internet radio broadcast called “Praise Party with Pastor Ced”. We hope that they will receive the Presidential Service Award as well as other humanitarian awards and accolades.
