How to develop a Lotus Notes Client plug-in

The first thing we’ll do is set up your Eclipse environment. I used the RCP edition of Eclipse Ganymede (3.4). I’m sure it’ll also work in other versions but I have not tested those. I’ve only tested on the Lotus Notes Client 8.5.1.

Notes roaming users on Lotus Foundations
Fri, Oct 9th 2009 9:54a Kevin We are installing a Lotus Foundations Branch Office appliance at one of our customers. Lotus Foundations Branch Office is used in combination with a Lotus Domino Enterprise server. All configuration happens on the Enterprise server and is then replicated to the Foundations server.
For example: users are registrated on the Enterprise server, with the Foundations server as their mailserver.

Getting users for SVN from Domino LDAP

using Quickr with Domino LDAP when hosting multiple directories
Fri, Sep 4th 2009 5:06a Tom As many of us know, you can define your Quickr user directory to use both Domino Directory and LDAP.
When using the Domino Directory as your User Directory for Quickr, you are able to log onto your Quickr with all users of all the directories included in your Directory assistance setup.

Exporting .kyr certificate for Apache

We access our iNotes webmail through a reverse proxy. This reverse proxy is an Apache webserver. To add to this security, all http traffic is redirected to https for obvious reasons. This means that there has to be an SSL certificate on the reverse proxy for that website. But Lotus Domino stores its certificates in keyring files (.kyr extension), which cannot be read by Apache. Some mail rules not executing in Notes 6.5.
Fri, Aug 28th 2009 2:48a Sven My day was hardly started when I got the question why mail rules weren’t moving the mails to their folders. I went over to this person and had a look at his mailfile. Turns out he had over 150 rules that all move mails into certain folders based on their subject.
Some enabled mail rules were not executing, others did what they intended to do.
After a little searching this is what I found on the IBM support site:

Excel constants for lotusscript excel export
Wed, Aug 26th 2009 5:11a Ken Recently, I had to change the appearance of an excel export.
I did not find a table containing the integer values of the excel contant names you get when you record a macro. So I called in the help of Theo.
The simplest way is to use the ‘immediate window’ in VB. Press CTRL-G to make it appear in your vb-window.
You can then simply type: “print xlUnderlineStyleSingle” which will show you “2″.

Use WebServices to access Calendar and Mail in Lotus Notes

When a user logs in, their Lotus Notes information is accessed using LDAP.
They needed Lotus Notes webservices that can:
Check the availability of a user based on a given timeframe
Create/modify an appointment
Return a list of all calendar entries within a given timeframe
