Script for monitoring a pvoutput.org system using Nagions
Tue, Jul 29th 2014 6:11a   Jens Bruntt
A couple of years ago we got solar panels installed on the roof of the house. It looks like it is going to be a good investment. For the last year I have had automatic upload of my production data set up to go to pvoutput.org. Here is a link to my data on the site - go take a look. Sometimes the automatic uploading fails. And it can take me a while - weeks - to notice that there is an issue. I have finally managed to get a reasonable setup with my Nagios installation that will detect i [read] Keywords: domino exchange exchange server wiki

Mon, Jun 30th 2014 9:12a   Jens Bruntt

POSTing to a Domino server using curl
Thu, Jun 26th 2014 6:09a   Jens Bruntt
curl is a command line tool that will let you execute all kinds of requests that will make the computer you are at interact with services on the LAN or internet. I have had a need to post data to a IBM Notes database hosted on Domino - using just the command line. Here are the raw example commands to do just that. First I needed to login to the server. Getting Nagios to monitor Domino using SNMP
Wed, Jan 1st 2014 9:10a   Jens Bruntt
I have succesfully configured a Domino server (R9) to play nice with SNMP. And I have configured a Nagios server to query status on numerous parameters on the Domino server. Here is a screen dump from my Nagios Service status page The blue ones are Domino specific. The two red ones are the ones I am glad to have working. Domino Data Service API changes @href content with Domino 9.0.1
Wed, Nov 20th 2013 7:17a   Jens Bruntt
I just noticed an important change in the Domino Data Service API that I am pretty sure has happened when I upgraded a Domino server to the latest release - 9.0.1. I also am pretty sure that it had not yet changed in version 9.0. I am accessing the http://hostname/path/database.nsf/api/data/documents URL in order to get a list of all documents in the database. This will get me a very compact JSON representation of the documents. For each document I get a @modified, a @unid and a @href. W [read] Keywords: domino ibm ldd lotus database server

Here is an oddity we have run in to when developing a Composite Application design for the Lotus Notes Client: The Notes client is configured to display the Mobile Toolbar (File->Preferences->Toolbar->Toolbars - checkmark in Mobile). Then I open up the Composite Application. I see the Mobile Toolbar just fine: Then I switch to a different page in the Composite Application, and the Tollbar disappears: The Page I switch to has just one Component which opens up a Notes URL f [read] Keywords: domino lotus notes notes client application database mobile

Some Domino and IMAP tips for Android / HTC Desire HD
Mon, Dec 13th 2010 6:13a   Jens Bruntt
I just managed to get my HTC Desire HD Android Device to retrieve email from a Lotus Domino server using the IMAP protocol. It was not without some headaches, so I would like to share some tips on what I did to get it working. Of course IMAP has to be loaded as a service on the Domino server. Look in the Administrator for help on that. You should set the "Prefers MIME" flag on the Person Document of the user. Then you have to make sure that the mail database of the user is flagged for [read] Keywords: domino lotus database email server

Karen og Ulla vinder særpris for deres grammatikbogsprojekt - Handbook for Language Detectives: Teaching and Learning English
Tue, Nov 16th 2010 3:13p   Jens Bruntt
Særpris betyder her at d [read] Keywords: domino

Fri, Oct 29th 2010 3:25a   Jens Bruntt

2 win servers replaces by one Linux for Traveler
Wed, Sep 15th 2010 5:26a   Jens Bruntt
I have just shut down the two Windows-based Domino servers we had for Lotus Traveler synchronization. Instead we have the Traveler server running with our main mail server as it is just one of the Domino server tasks you can have on a Linux-based Domino server. Lotus Traveler for Linux-based Domino servers just got available with Domino 8.5.2. The only hiccup we had was that our sole iPhone user had an issue that was quickly resolved. When he initially configured his Traveler client to sync [read] Keywords: domino lotus traveler iphone linux server

Motorola Milestone will get Android 2.2 update
Mon, Aug 23rd 2010 5:30a   Jens Bruntt
I just read on the official Motorola Europe Facebook page that the Motorola Milestone will be getting an update to FroYo. In Europe. In other parts of the world it has not yet been decided if the upgrade will be available or not. The Droid twin of the Milestone is (I believe) getting the FroYo upgrade right now. The upgrade for Europe is scheduled to start rolling out by the end of the year (2010). FroYo is Android version 2.2, and it is a very important update. Most important (to me) is the [read] Keywords: domino facebook

Painless return from holidays with GTD
Thu, Aug 12th 2010 3:26a   Jens Bruntt
This week i started working after four great weeks of holidays in Provence, France. I had a lot of open projects and email-threads when I left, so coming back is always interesting. It has been truly marvelous how easy it was to get back on track, and a lot of the credit goes to eProductivity - the Getting Things Done add-on for Lotus Notes. When I came back from my long holiday I needed to do almost no work to get the overview of what was in progress and what needed to be followed up on. B [read] Keywords: domino lotus notes email
