Template Design Inheritance Gotchas
Wed, May 23rd 2012 6:08p Kendra Stapleton Time to update our highly customized mail template from 8.5.1 to 8.5.3. No problem as I had meticulously documented all the changes put onto the 8.5.1 template and half of the customizations were included in the 8.5.3 template provided to me. Yeah!
I had also stored a number of customized common elements for the mail file in a separate template.
After getting all the changes into our 8.5.3 template I was ready to apply the template to my own mail file. I noticed a number of changes not be [read] Keywords: agent

CRM Solution/Salesforce automation feedback
Fri, Sep 9th 2011 10:08a Kendra Stapleton I am looking for feedback from the Lotus/Domino community on their CRM solution for their salesforce. These are the points I am evaluating:
What product are you using?
Ease of use by the salesforce
Ease of customization for your specific business needs
Where is it hosted?
Is it Domino-based or other?
What is your experience with support from the vendor?
Is there a mobile solution? Is the mobile solution embracing the tablet market?
Any other feedback you can offer...

Thu, Mar 24th 2011 12:08p Kendra Stapleton Wading through some tutorials - I created another new discussion database for practicing XPages but I couldn't get it to render in the browser. I kept getting a 500 exception screen in the browser. Why? I've done this before without issue. The server log was full of HTTP JVM errors. Hmmm....well the database I created today was with the 8.5.2 Discussion template but I found that the server I am working on is still at 8.5.1. So I replaced the design of my database with the 8.5.1 Discussion temp [read] Keywords: xpages blogger

XPages - Newbie Tip
Thu, Jan 13th 2011 12:12p Kendra Stapleton Disclaimer: I am a newbie to XPages! This is a beginner tip.
I am wading through some free tutorials - while following a tutorial I kept getting a generic "Error 500" while testing - not very helpful. After hunting around I found this application property: "Display XPages runtime error page" on the XPages tab of the Application Properties.
This (Blech!):
To this (So much more helpful - helped fix my problem!): Thanks! [read] Keywords: xpages application

Thu, Nov 4th 2010 3:21p Kendra Stapleton ...when you follow them! I've been beating my head against the wall trying to do iNotes customizations and no matter the change they didn't work or show up. Since I was working in a sandbox environment where whatever I did wouldn't affect anyone, I brushed off the part where it says in the documentation to copy the file to a temp folder, make changes, then copy it back to the iNotes server. Then make sure to restart HTTP. Oh, and then you might flush your browser cache. I thought that whole c [read] Keywords: agent
