Which tooltip is the most helpful?
Fri, Jan 9th 2009 1:46p   Mary Beth Raven
Hello, intrepid tooltip readers, We have received feedback that the tooltip of "Close" in the case below is not very clear. The case below shows Lotus Notes with the tabs in "grouped mode"; that is, the tabs for a view and all associated documents from one application are grouped together in one tab. In this mode, we do NOT put an X on each tab. Rather, we put one at the far right. What do you think that close button does? The UX Lab machines are on their way to Orlando....
Fri, Jan 9th 2009 8:46a   Mary Beth Raven
The various laptops that we're going to use for usability testing in the UX lab are on the truck headed south! Many thanks to the people who worked long hours to get them set up, including Paul MCGrai Cynthia Rainey Betsy Comstock Sheri Branco Miki Banatwala and others! We named our server the"wolfden" and the clients are the "piggies." This started when we had 3 clients and called them "the three little pigs"but we have more than three now. While the rest of you were trying to watch the Macworld keynote over the internet, those of us on the user experience team were (still) busy setting up our server and clients for Lotusphere. I haven't done much setup. A great deal of credit goes to: Betsy Comstock Sheri Branco Paul MCgrail Miki Banatwala and many others! We started out with 3 clients, so we called them the "three little pigs. " The server was "big bad wolf". but we have evolved to at least 4 piggies and a "wolfden." As most of you already know, Notes 8.5 should be available electronically on January 6 --Tomorrow! (even today for some of you!)
