As of Notes 8.5, we've simplified the titlebar so that it has: An icon The title A "panel menu" (on the far right).
The panel menu is divided into 3 parts:
Actions specific to that panel (e.g. Specific to Calendar, or Activities or Feeds) (Yeah, the Day-at-a-Glance sidebar panel menu has a bug because one of the "Calendar Footer" menu item specific to calendar got stuck at the bottom... I hope to be able to fix that)
Actions generic to all panels (e.g. Manipulating the panel like opening it in a new window)
Actions for showing or hiding specific sidebar panels and the state of the sidebar

There was a bug (now fixed but I do not know which release, I think in 8.5.1) introduced in Notes 8.0 in which the last used replica was used even on startup.
