Recently had an issue with an Oracle (11g) Scheduled Backup Job which had worked fine for a long time but started failing with the error "Initialization Error" when executing the RMAN script.

IBM Notes client error: Entry Not Found in Index|

When using the Archive Now option in IBM Notes client it displays the error message "Entry Not Found in Index".
This can be due to an archiving criteria which uses the selection "older than" and the mailfile contains documents without a valid creation date.
This can be fixed by running a script to check for any such documents and remove then manually.
Create a hotspot button and insert the code below (thanks to Alexander Bay) and send it to the user to run.

Domino server service will not start and displays error when manually started:
"The IBM Domino Server (CDominodata) service on Local Computer started and the stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
No indication in console log but in the server data folder the Domino Controller log file (dcntrlrdcntrlrxxxxxxxxxxxx.out) it contains the error JVM_Bind.
To fix add the lines below to the server Notes.ini:

Domino 9.0.1 Feature Pack 8 enables moving views out of the database. This will make the NSF smaller and therefore can store more data before reaching limits.
Set the following value in the server Notes.ini:
NIFBasePatch=F:NIF (or leave out to create in Data folder)
Restart the server.
Use "load compact -c -nifnsf on xx.nsf " to move the views out for existing databases.

Some emails received via SMTP are not displaying the correct name in Outlook when synced with IBM Mail sync. The attachment name is displayed as "mime." missing the correct file extension.
Testing shows this only affects certain file attachments with longer names.
Manually Saving As and renaming the file allows it to be opened and displayed in the correct application.

By default the IBM Mail sync client will only sync 30 days worth of email from your Domino mailbox. This can be changed to sync all of your mailbox by setting the server Notes.ini values below:
