|How to update the IBM Connections Favicons
Every Connections application has its own favicon. Our current customer wants to replace them by 1 corporate favicon.
After looking trough the documentation, we found that this is not very well documented. Therefore this article.
After some help from IBM support and some help from Salim to rectify an error in the feedback from support this is what you need to do
Locate the customization directory location by referencing the WebSphere variable CONNECTIONS_CUSTOMIZATION_PATH.
Once located, place your custom favicon image at the following paths,

Error running a Java migration from 5.0 to 5.5 on Linux|

Yesterday I was trying to perform the Java upgrade to the Homepage database from 5.0 to 5.5 on a linux server. The command failed and whatever I tried, it kept on failing.
It seemed to interpret the jdbc url as a Java class and then threw an error it could not find it… obviously
The command I ran was taken from the technote the official documentation is pointing to
the command I tried to ran was:
jvm/linux/jre/bin/java -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Xmx1024m -classpath /apps/ibm/data/DBT_HOME/db2j

We often complain about IBM documentation (and sometimes for good reasons) but there are moments that I am really grateful about the technotes from IBM. Lately the amount seems to increase and the new formatting corresponding to the new IBM website layout is great.
I was installing DB2 10.5 on a Linux box and got an error
/apps/ibm/sources/server/db2/linuxamd64/install/db2setup: line 626: /tmp/db2.tmp.2522/db2/linuxamd64/install//db2chgpath: Permission denied
