I get asked for instructions for many of the large diorama models in my books all the time. Usually, it's a fairly simple answer and I'm afraid that answer is no! With models like St Pancras (yes, I've been asked for instructions for that) using 100s of thousands of bricks - it's simply just not practicable to create instructions. However, this week I was asked on email (my details are on the contact page) about the Gutenberg Press model - which is actually a pretty small build. Now, I'd lo

Whilst we crack on at the orbit, I'm continuing to post videos to my Youtube channel - Episodes 6, 7 and 8 are all now available. However, I interrupt this exciting news story to bring you something even cooler. I've been waiting a long time to post this! Let me tell you a story....About 10 months ago, I received an email from the British Antarctic Survey. They'd seen a picture of my Aurora Australis model, with a micro antarctic station in front. This one in fact, from Brick Wonders:

Occasionally we get to park Mia in some rather cool places...After opening in Woodhorn this morning, it was straight down to London to install 'Bricks in the Sky' into the ArcelorMittal Orbit. An exhibition 80 meters into the sky and a real building challenge. Yup, that's just a part of the structure that needs to be built from 2x4 bricks. It's going to be interesting at least and hopefully I might see some of you there!

I've put models into museums, shopping centres and corporate events - why not up in the air? This coming half term weekend, I'll be at the ArcelorMIttal Orbit in the Queen Elizabeth Park (aka the big red swirly sculpture next to the London Olympic Stadium!) for Bricks in the Sky. Londonist have pictures :-)Over the course of 9 days, I'll be live building a model of the sculpture in LEGO bricks - 2 meters tall! Not only that, but we'll also be bringing a selection of models from Brick City, Br

Sat, Dec 6th 2014 9:03a   Warren Elsmore
It's been a bit busy here in the studio. Not least due to BRICK 2014 which happened last weekend. Just in case you didn't have time to be there for all 8 days (but thanks to those that did!), here it is - in 4 minutes...

The Forth Road Bridge - in LEGO bricks!
Mon, Aug 25th 2014 6:33a   Warren Elsmore
This morning, I've been based in the National Museum of Scotland, unveiling this - the Forth Road Bridge: We've been working on this one for a while! To celebrate the bridge's 50th birthday there are a host of activities going on as part of the Forth Bridges Festival - this being just a little part of it. The bridge is possibly one of the most technical models that I've ever created. Not least because it has to look right - it will be 'inspected'

Adult night at the Manchester LEGOLAND Discovery Centre
Tue, Aug 12th 2014 8:20a   Warren Elsmore
No, not that sort of adult night! If you weren't aware, the LDC in Manchester doesn't usually accept unaccompanied adults - ie, those without kids. But, they've let me know that for one night they are! Details below. Sadly, I can't make it but if you've not been and would like to see the Manchester miniland, then this is a great opportunity! Adult Fans of LEGO® Night at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester 3rd September 2014 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmHave you wanted to visit the LEGOLAND® Discove
