Filter criteria for Salesforce views and reports
Niklas Waller
When creating a view or a report in Salesforce there is a stage where you need to specify the filter criteria, i.e. which records should be visible in the view or the report. brbrThere are always 5 rows visible and you can choose to fill in none or several filter criteria's. There can be at the most 10 rows. brbrClicking #8216;Advanced Options#8217; gives you the possibility to add more rows and to choose if you want to use AND or OR between the rows. The default behaviour is AND. You can use parathesises here as well.brbrAssuming you want to check if a field has value1, value2, value3, value4 etc for more than 10 values, would cause a limit problem unless there were a way to handle it. Add the values in the 'Value' textbox comma-separated. If a value includes a space you enclose it with apostrophes. See the screenshot below for an example.brbrbThe below means:/bbr(Account Name starts with 'Test string' OR 'test2' OR 'test3') AND (Website contains 'http') AND (Industry equals 'Medicin')brbrimg src="http://www.wohill.com/images/sf_view_filter_criteria.jpg" border="0" alt=""brbrbrbr /br /img src='http://www.wohill.com/images/wo_section_dev1a.jpg' /
