When you have setup the SMTP routing by Foreign Domain document and pulling the mail towards 1 or more OutBound SMTP Domino servers, you cannot add an alternative route for mail and outbound SMTP flow. Every mail is routed to the defined SMTP Domino server in the connection documents.
But Domino is the best product ever and can be customized almost to its bone, so there must be a notes.ini setting for this issue. And YES there is.
Put RouterIgnoreForeignSMTPDomains=1 into your Domino servers who need to have an alternative route to the outside world.
